| Yesterday morning, members spent the morning reviewing and training on Low Angle Rope Rescue with Signal 73 Fire Training LLC. The use of ropes, knots, and the hardware associated with this discipline is most definetly a perishable skill. The need for this training is crucial for those high risk/low frequency scenarios we may encounter on an incident.
The morning started out with basic knots review and a short classroom session reviewing identifying the hardware and necessary equipment needed for the different applications. We then went hands on reviewing the equipment we carry on our apparatus and how to quickly and safely deploy it in a low angle rescue or recovery situation.
We thank Josh & Louie from Signal 73 for once again putting on another great class for our membership. Looking forward to next month for another great class with them. |
