Fire Prevention Week™ is October 4–10, 2026. “Charge Into Fire Safety™. Safe Charging Is a Superpower” this is this years Fire Prevention Week Theme. This focuses on the everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer. Attached in this post are tip sheets that all can refer to to quickly refresh ourselves on how to keep fire smart.
During this month, the OFD will be visiting our local schools and daycare centers spreading the word on Fire Safety. More to come from these visits and one of the best times our members get to impact the lives of our community's youth.
