Oh…And Don’t Forget….

Change Your Clocks, Change Your Batteries!!!

Safety Tips for Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarms

• Test monthly: Press the test button on every smoke alarm once a month.

• Replace at minimum yearly: Change replaceable batteries at least once a year.
***We Recommend to do it twice a year when you change your clocks!!!***

• Follow instructions: Use only the battery brand and model listed on the back of the alarm.

• Check the age: Replace any smoke and carbon monoxide that is more than 10 years old. **follow manufacturers recommendations**

• Heed chirps: Replace the entire unit right away if a 10-year sealed alarm chirps, or if a standard alarm chirps after a fresh battery change.

• Cover every level: Install working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms on every level of your home and inside and outside sleeping areas.
