| This past Saturday Evening, the OFD was able to hold our Annual Department Inspection. For obvious reasons, last years sadly had to be canceled. This year brought our 2 newest apparatus to their first inspection (Engines 96 & 98). Besides being spotless, during these many days of preparation our fleet is meticulously gone over. Weekly apparatus checks is the norm for us, but this is the extra deep down cleaning & checking of every bit of equipment we run.
The Apparatus are actually judged for overall appearance & general upkeep of equipment. This year, Engine 96 would take home the Clinton W. Crawford Award for the “Best Appearing” rig in the fleet. This is also a chance for our local Village & Town officials to see everything we have and how it’s maintained to he highest level.
Congrats to Engine 96 and the rest of our companies for the outstanding job. Our Fleet speaks for itself, on & off the fireground. |
