On this past very warm and humid Tuesday Evening, the OFD held Part 2 of low angle rescue training. The first part of this disciplined training was held last month going over packaging, equipment, tactics, etc. This month those reviewed skills were put to the test in the elements to see what actually might go right, wrong, and see in real time with “real patients” these skills come together. We were joined by our counterparts from Ossining EMS as our efforts will be used hand in hand in an actual rescue situation with their chief objective, patient care.

Just another example of it not always being “bread & butter” operations of fire related incidents. We train for all types of emergencies that we might be requested to handle.
