This past Saturday Morning (6/7/25), Engine 96 was relocated to Millwood as members laid to rest one of their senior men. Past Chief Neil Gollogly, a 60+ year Ex-Chief, Past Commissioner, Past Company President & Treasurer, and Safety Officer of the Millwood Fire Company & Fire District.
Neil was instrumental in the securing of the property and construction of Millwood’s Station #2 on Route 134 (Croton Dam Rd.). This in-turn would benefit more than just Millwood since it’s inception as this would be the site of Millwood’s Training Facility, better known to many as “The Stone House”. Countless Departments have called upon Millwood for the use of this priceless opportunity to train at this facility. We all owe Millwood & Neil for this vital piece of Millwood and our areas fire service history.
The procession would pass by Station 2 on the way to Neil’s final resting place where he grew up and graduated High School, in “North Tarrytown”. The engine crew would respond to a residential alarm on the east side of Millwood shortly before being released.
We again extend our condolences to the Gollogly Family & Millwood. |
