This past Thursday evening, the annual Ossining High School Scholarship Awards evening was held. Among the many scholarships awarded to a graduating OHS student is the Ossining Fire Department Sponsored Walter Quast Memorial Scholarship. This is annually chosen by the committee to assist a student taking the next step in their academic career.

This year, 13 applicants applied for the Quast Memorial Scholarship with the recipient being Daniel Schotte. Daniel will receive the $1,500.00 to assist his venture in attending the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science located in Charlottesville. We congratulate him on his accomplishments in his years as a student of the Ossining School District. We wish you all the best in taking the next step.
