| Village of Ossining Residents & Our Many Supporters,
On behalf of every member of the OFD, we wish to express our profound gratitude to everyone who played a part in the successful passage of the Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP) proposition yesterday and over the past weeks during early voting. This program is a vital investment in the safety and well-being of our community, offering much-deserved recognition and as a retention tool for the brave individuals who volunteer their time and risk their lives as firefighters.
To the community...we thank you for your continued support, for engaging in the discussion, and for voting "yes" to ensure the continued strength of YOUR Volunteer Fire Department. Your commitment to us and our community is truly appreciated. To the Village Board, THANK YOU for your leadership in sponsoring and unanimously passing the resolution to bring this proposition to the voters. Your vision and support were crucial and a noticeable vision of your commitment to public service especially the volunteerism in our village. To the Village Administration, we appreciate your efforts in facilitating the process, providing information, and ensuring a smooth execution of the vote. Every piece of this puzzle was crucial, none of which could have been done without all of you.
Lastly, as an agency we must also thank our membership. The tireless dedication, commitment, & devotion to serving and protecting our community is the reason this program exists. This is a testament to your invaluable service that is provided day in and out at any moment. Lastly, concerning the LOSAP Campaign specifically. We must point out the extraordinary efforts of our LOSAP Committee and of course the driving force behind it all, our LOSAP Committee Chairman Ex-Foreman of Ossining Hose Company Michael Aurora.
The success of this proposition is a shining example of what we can achieve when we work together. We look forward to the positive impact the LOSAP will have on the recruitment and retention of the Fire Department for years to come, “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” sine 1812. .
