For 110 Years, The Baker-Collyer Christmas Cheer Fund has provided assitance to many in need during the holiday season. It was started by an Ossining merchant who witnessed two children picking through a garbage pile for food….
Every December a few days before Christmas, food baskets are assembled by our membership along with others that have assisted us (most recently this year members of our OFD Junior Corps & players from thr Collyer Youth Baseball Program). The following morning, they are delivered to families in town to ensure they are able enjoy a holiday meal. This long time OFD/Ossining Community Tradition is made possible due to funds generously donated by the many contributors and many volunteers. This once again took place this year this past Monday & Tuesday (December 22nd & 23rd).
Please consider being part of this 110 year tradition. Contributions can be sent to the Baker-Collyer Cheer Fund, c/o John Crawford, Chairman, PO Box, 508, Ossining, NY 10562. You can also make a donation via the Baker-Collyer Website at:
