Shortly after 1am this past Saturday morning, the OFD was requested to Dale Avenue for the MVA with a vehicle into a telephone pole. The Fire Department was originally requested to the scene for fluid spill mitigation from the accident. Upon the arrival of Chief Rinaldi, it was found that the vehicle indeed drove into a pole and was also wedged up against the front retaining wall of a residence. Extrication would be needed to safely and easily remove the patient from the vehicle.

The assignment was upgraded to an accident requiring extrication adding additional apparatus to the scene. Shortly after the arrival of Engine 96, the occupant was freed from the vehicle and placed in the care of Ossining EMS. The occupant was soon after transported to a local hospital. Con Edison Electric was requested to the scene as the pole was compromised after the strike from the sedan. All Fire Units cleared the scene in just over an hour.
