| The OFD held its Annual Inspection on a warm Saturday evening at our beautiful waterfront. Many weeks of hard work & preparation go into making sure not only our apparatus are spotless, but making sure everything is in tip top shape ready at a moments notice.
With many invited guests from our local government and area fire service representatives in attendance, our fleet was on display for all to “inspect”. For a second year in a row, the Clinton Crawford Memorial Award was taken by Ossining Hose Company (Engine 96) for the best appearing department apparatus. The official judging of equipment is completed by the Westchester County Parade Judges Association.
Although their is one “winner”, in all every rig is something to be proud of. We in the OFD take extreme pride in our fleet. The longevity of our apparatus shows itself by the condition they are kept in by the dedicated membership of this department. We as always thank our village government & community for providing us with the equipment we need to protect all that live and visit our community. We hope this is seen by the way we show our pride on and off the fire ground.
Till Next Year! |
