Shortly before 5pm, the OFD was dispatched on a General Alarm (Box 6-6) to the View Living Complex at 38 1/2 Wolden Rd. for smoke coming from an apartment. Units would arrive within minutes and confirm a fire in one of the apartments. Car 2331 would request the Croton FD FASTeam to the scene along with Ossining EMS, and a relocate Tower Ladder from Sleepy Hollow FD for district coverage.
A supply line secured by first arriving Engine 96 and a hand line deployed as crews made entry into the unit. An electrical fire was found that spread up the wall of the unit. Members would quickly knocked down the fire with minimal spread/damage. The Westchester County Cause & Origin Team was also requested to confirm the source & origin of the incident.
Ossining units would be released from the scene shortly after 730pm.
