The OFD participated once again in the Annual Village of Mamaroneck FD Parade. Engine 96, the Tower, & Rescue 14 would roll down Mamaroneck Avenue packed full of spectators past the curbs. Once again the weather held out and it turned out to be a pretty night on the sound.
We would come home chocked full of trophies including 2nd Best Appearing Fire Rescue Apparatus, 2nd Best Appearing Combination Apparatus, Best Appearing Engine under 10 Years, Best Appearing Fire Department Color Guard, 2nd Best Appearing Regulation Uniform, Best Appearing Overall Apparatus, & Best Overall.
Thanks goes out to the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department for the hospitality. Also a reminder, their annual carnival is going on now! For a great night of family fun while supporting the VMFD Volunteers, head on down to Harbor Island Park. The Carnival runs through the 4th of July complete with fireworks! Information on the Carnival & Fireworks is located in the images in this story from the VMFD.
Our feet hit the street again this coming Thursday night (July 6th) in Mahopac. Another annual event complete with their annual Carnival! Parade steps off at 7pm. |
