Shortly before noon Monday Morning (4/14/25), the OFD was dispatched to a reported gas line struck due to construction/excavation on North Highland Avenue in the area of Denny Street. Units arrived to find a high pressure gas line struck and blowing off. The area was secured and a precautionary hose line was deployed while units awaited the arrival of Con Edison Gas. The scene was turned over to Con Ed with the OFD clearing the scene after operating for approximately an hour and 15 minutes.
