The members of the current OFD Probie Class continue to progress. Last night the topic was forcible entry. Students were introduced to the use of “The Irons” & the Hydra-Ram by taking the door on our Firehouse Innovations LI, Inc. forcible entry door prop. The importance of this class is invaluable. The skills that we teach these newer members prepares them for the Firefighter 1 curriculum certifying them as full interior Firefighters. This also teaches them skills they can do as an exterior member becoming key and vital on the fireground even before they get to FF1.
